goldfish need music too. this one's taste is ultra-refined. only the best for the fattest fish around.

read the blog. we'll drag you through concerts, websites, new music reviews and the same stuff you read everywhere else. except here, we're ruled by a creature whose memory is three seconds long. it's a tough swim.

  oh, Pitchfork.
while we're writing up the live reviews of the shows we went to this weekend, you should be reading...

looks like the Pitchfork staff have a four day weekend, as well - save for this relatively short and definitely incomprehensive list of Overlooked Records, by "Pitchfork Staff." some pretty good artists made it - Be Your Own Pet and Voxtrot spring to mind - but otherwise, sort of a cheesy BLOGGISH "this marks the halfway point of the year" list. they say:

Pitchfork is celebrating the Fourth of July with...recycled content! Just as we did last year, we're marking the halfway point of the year by highlighting some records we've enjoyed that weren't selected for either our Best New Music or Recommended sections. Regular updates will return on Wednesday, July 5.

yep cool. rock on PF. yeah.

also: all files posted will only remain available for two to three weeks. if you find something in an old post that you'd really like to hear, tell us.
