  don't be hatin'.
now we all know that some people get really uppity about their indie music, but everyone can have a little fun now and then, right?

right.

and those people out there who are hardcore rap lovers can let it slide for some well-produced fun-to-listen-to shit, right?

right.

well, Outkast have a new movie and new album in the works, and i think everyone needs to get off their high horses and take a listen because, well:

it's good.

::::check this out
Outkast - The Mighty "O"
the first single from the forthcoming album, Idlewild. not the best song off their next attempt, as Big Boi admits, but the big deal? it features verses from both Big Boi and Andre 3000. it'll get stuck in your head, with a catchy hook of almost-nonsensical syllables reminiscent of Hey Ya.

Outkast - Idlewild Blues
damn. think southern blues rock band complete with harmonica and then add a signature Outkast beat. great riffs, great melodies, great production, great synth ending. it's just a great song.

Outkast - Morris Brown
this time that smooth Outkast beat is laid over a marching band. yes, a marching band, with horns and a drum line and a whistle and everything. awesome vocals and interspersed rhymes make for an interesting composition in blues-hip-hop-funk-rap-rock. ...what? just shake your booty and enjoy.

NOTE: as much as toaster loves free music, he'd like to encourage you to buy the cds of the artists you enjoy. he'd also like to remind you that any music hosted by or linked to from this page is property of its respective owners, so if that's you and you'd like it to not be here, just let us know.
